Dutch Agro Plants from the Netherlands intends to establish an enterprise to bottle high-quality drinking water, deputy director general of Belgeologia company Leonid Filazapovich said at a session of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of Belarus on May 27.
“Dutch Agro Plants wants to set up an enterprise to bottle high-quality drinking water with 100% foreign capital. About 70% of the bottled water is to be exported. Apart from that, the company is ready to construct a recreation and recuperation centre near the village of Gorodische,” he said. The Dutch company has already carried out tests to evaluate the quality of the water near Gorodische.
Leonid Filazapovich informed that Iranian companies ANFAL and AZARAB also expressed their interest in setting up water bottling facilities in Belarus. In particular, they want to create fast payback ventures. “The heads of these enterprises saw several land plots in the Minsk region where such productions can be established and confirmed their interest in doing business in Belarus,” Leonid Filazapovich said.
The companies that would like to set up water bottling facilities in Belarus include Silver Bell (the Czech Republic), Dintec Projieht Management (Germany) and Smolenskcabel (Russia).
Leonid Filazapovich added that with a view to finding investors, negotiations were held with heads of credit and investment departments of 13 banks in May. Seven banks agreed to help find investors through foreign banks or various banking forums.
