Development of cooperation with Vietnam and India is one of the priorities of the Belarusian foreign policy in the Asian region, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko noted receiving credentials of the Vietnamese and Indian ambassadors to Belarus in Minsk on April 3.
The Head of State noted that Belarus and Vietnam have common approaches to key international problems. We have much in common in socio-economic area as well. First, it concerns the socially oriented development models chosen by our peoples, the President noted. “Our countries have clearly identified the ways of cooperation,” Alexander Lukashenko added. Alexander Lukashenko also noted great changes which have recently taken place in Vietnam.
Welcoming Ramesh Chander, the new Indian Ambassador to Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko noted the high level of understanding between the leadership of the countries and at the level of ordinary peoples. “As the President of Belarus I attach great importance to promoting stable and mutually beneficial relations with India which is one of the most important trading and economic partner for us in Asia,” Alexander Lukashenko underscored. “We are proud of our relations, our cooperation with India, a giant and rich country, with which we have had good relations since the Soviet times,” the Belarusian President said.
